On their way!

Greetings from the Brigadoon and her crew!

Hi everyone. Walt and Marty's daughter, Christy here. They left a very flooded Rocky Pointe Marina, and are on their way!

They had to wait a bit in Ilwaco, Washington, at the mouth of the Columbia, for the weather to clear. Then they cruised up the Washington coast. Last I heard they were entering the Juan de Fuca Strait, nearing Port Angeles.

I hope you're having a great trip, mom and dad! I love you!

Better Late than Never Blog Update

The boat's ready, we are almost packed, we are heading to the Salish Sea over Memorial Day. We gave up our slip at Rocky Pointe Marina, Scappoose OR and are on the waiting list for a new slip at Jerrell's Cove Marina, on Harstein Island, near Shelton WA. While we are waiting for the new slip we plan to cruise the summer thru the San Juan Islands, OR, the eastern side of Vancouver Island (British Columbia), OR maybe South Puget Sound. Lots of cruising grounds open to us and we will cruise "at will". Meaning we will plan our trip from day to day!

The above pictures are from our 6 week trip last summer up the Columbia and Snake Rivers all the way to Lewiston Idaho. In one summer, we went from one end of the navigable Columbia River to the end of the navigable Columbia and Snake Rivers, over 300 miles round trip! We went in company of two other boats and had a wonderful summer.

Maybe, (but no promises) I can get some more pictures of last summers trip posted.
Now I have internet on my new phone so I can take more pictures and post them more quickly!

Please keep in touch with us via email this summer!
